We have daily departures from June 6th through September 13th. Departures to and from Gjendebu end on September 13th. After that, departures are currently scheduled for September 19th. Additional departures in the autumn will be announced on our website. Welcome!
Parking
Parking is not included in the boat ticket, and it is advisable to reserve a spot in the long-term parking lot before traveling with Gjendebåtene. Book your parking here.

The Captain Welcomes You – No Waiting Time
Planning to travel with the Gjende boats in the 2026season? Remember to bring a printout or screenshot of your boat ticket so that we can scan the ticket code against a white background.
Luggage Transport
We can transport the luggage you don’t need to carry on your mountain hike to your destination. All you need to do is purchase a luggage tag either on the boat or at the cabins. Read more about luggage transport here.

Gjendesheim – Memurubu: NOK 100(or vice versa)
Memurubu – Gjendebu: NOK 100 (or vice versa)

Discount on your Return Ticket
If you book a return ticket on the same day as your departure with the Gjende boat, you’ll receive a discount on the total amount. First, book all tickets at full price, and the discount will be automatically applied when you reach the shopping cart/checkout for payment.
Ticket Prices:
Gjendesheim – Memurubu round trip on the same day: NOK 300.- ( children 150,-)
All other round-trip options with departure on the same day: NOK 360,- ( children 150,-)
Take a group of friends, a pensioner group or a club on a boat trip on beautiful Gjende in Jotunheimen. We offer lunch trips, sightseeing and tours for groups in Jotunheimen.
We start at Gjendesheim and sail along Gjende to Memurubu Turisthytte, which is halfway along the lake.
We have a guide on board to tell stories about the area and point out Besseggen and other peaks in Jotunheimen.
The round-trip takes from 1 to 3 hours.
