Guiding, packages and group offers

Gjende and the mountains offer some fantastic possibilities for activities. Here are some of the things we can organise.

• Sightseeing with guide
• Food served on board or at one of the hikers’ lodges in the area
• Fully-licensed food and beverage service offering anything from coffee and waffles to a three-course dinner
• Entertainment on board with a Peer Gynt or Jo Gjende theme
• Live music on the boat or ashore

Gjende lake in Jotunheimen stretches from Gjendesheim in the east for about 18 kilometres into the mountains, all the way to Gjendebu at the western end. Steep mountainsides rise from the blue-green water on both sides. From the boat you can see Besseggen and Bukkelegeret between Gjendesheim and Memurubu, as well as mighty, 2,000 metre peaks such as Surtningssue, Knutsholstind and Svartdalspiggen.

As part of the arrangement, you can also choose an easy walk near one of the hikers’ lodges, or more challenging walks or peak tours in Jotunheimen.
